NORFC – 18 Shannon - 15

Nenagh were the victors against a strong Shannon side in the latest round of the under 15 league in Tyone on Sunday last.

The home side got off to a dream start when winger Joe O’Dwyer scored a try on 5 minutes. Despite Nenagh playing some good rugby

Shannon dominated for the rest of the half and managed to score three unconverted tries by turning over possession at key moments.

The home side settled into the contest after the break and Joe scored a fantastic solo try which was converted by outhalf Killian Healy.

This left the score at 15 – 12 to the visitors. Nenagh continued to run the ball and put as much pace on the ball whenever they could. Killian slotted a great penalty to tie the scores. With everything to play for Nenagh kept the game in the Shannon half and were unlucky not to finish a number of line breaks. With 4 minutes left, Nenagh were awarded a penalty about 30m out. Killian stepped up and made no mistake with the kick. Nenagh closed the game out for a great win.

Well done to everyone on a great display, especially our Man of the Match, Joe who scored two fantastic tries and managed to control his opposite winger all day.🔴
